Babul and the Blue Bear is a fresh, anarchic and unique piece of theatre, bringing the worlds of hip-hop, mask, puppetry and street art together in a bold, dynamic and original way.

The play explores the themes of cultural identity, divided loyalties, racial tension and a sense of belonging in a multi-cultural Britain.

Told from the perspective of Benny - a young mixed-race man growing up in a white community, this is an important story for our time.

20 Stories High continue to make hard-hitting, entertaining and challenging theatre. Working with the narrative and musical influences of young people across the country, they make theatre that young audiences want to see again and again.

Suitable for ages 13 +

Supported by the Liverpool Culture Company Ltd as part of the 2008 European Capital of Culture programme.
