Mumbai’s Evam Youth Forum & Istanbul's Tiyatro 0.2 have been twinned to create a brand-new theatre double-bill for Contacting The World in Liverpool as part of the city's Capital of Culture celebrations.

Hair
Hair looks at the darker side of the world of the fairytale Rapunzel, exploring the mythical tale through gesture, movement, music and images. What the fairytale doesn't tell us is how these characters spoke, behaved, and most of all, what made them do the things they did. Hair attempts to explore these questions, with an ending that is not quite happily ever after.
Formed by the Company Theatre in 2006, Evam Youth Forum seeks to bring together talented, committed and hard-working young artistes and provide them with opportunities and a platform to explore their art further and produce exciting new theatre. Based in Mumbai, the Forum hopes to develop a network of artists from all over India.

Is modern life good for people? Everything we see says this is good for you, that is good for you…fast food, cinema, etc. But, is it? How do we adapt? An exploration reflecting on childhood, religion and society using in part, shadow puppets.
Tiyatro 0.2 is a young and alternative theatre group which was founded in 2005. The name of the group is derived from the statistical probability of becoming a successful theatre company in Turkey (0.2%). Tiyatro 0.2 strives to interest new audiences by performing in places where people will take notice including bars, toilets, jungles and streets.
